Equations of Lines
Three forms of a linear equation:
Write an equation in point slope form for the line that
passes through the points (-2, 4) and (8, 10)
Write an equation in slope-intercept form for the line that
passes through the points (-2, 4) and (8, 10)
Write an equation in slope-intercept form for the
line that is parallel to y = 2x - 4 and passes
through the point (-3, 7)
Write an equation in slope-intercept form for the
line that is perpendicular to y = 2x - 4 and
passes through the point (-3, 7)
Determine whether the lines are parallel, intersect, or
coincide.

y = 3x + 7 ,
y=

x+5,

2y - 4x = 16,
y = -3x - 4
6y = -2x + 12
y - 10 = 2(x - 1)
Without graphing,
determine whether the points (5, 1) (-9, 9) and (7, -1)
are collinear.
