Cass Avenue Dental Group
Cass Avenue Dental Group accepts Medicaid. Prospective patients should call to set up an appointment, and the dentist
will see the patient and give an estimate of costs of services.

Community Health in Partnership Services
Community Health provides outpatient dental services (cleanings, fillings or extractions). Services are free to patients
who have no other source of dental care. They provide referrals for more intensive procedures. Call to make an
appointment and for fees.

Grace Hill Settlement House
Grace Hill provides dentures, endodontics and general dentistry services to City residents. They accept Medicaid and
Medicare along with some private insurance plans. Sliding scare fees apply to some patients. Patients must call for an
appointment and present photo ID and proof of income to be eligible for sliding scale fees.

Missouri College Dental Hygiene Clinic
Missouri College Dental Hygiene Clinic offers general dentistry services. Referrals are given for fillings or crowns. Services
are free, but they do ask for patients to make a small donation that goes to their student scholarship fund. The Clinic
requires a minimum of three appointments.

People’s Health Center provides general dentistry services. Appointments are recommended. There is a fee for the office

SIU East St. Louis Dental
The SIU East Dental Clinic offers basic dental services, excluding root canals. They are only accepting children ages 2-12.
Services are typically 1/3-1/2 of regular private practice dentistry. They also accept Medicaid.

SIU School of Dental Medicine
The SIU School of Dental Medicine provides comprehensive dental services. Their waiting list is lengthy, but certain
patients are can make emergency appointments. Services are typically 1/3-1/2 of regular private practice dentistry.
Payment is due at time of treatment, though more costly procedures (dentures and crowns) can be paid on a 50-50 basis
(50% due when the procedure is started and the other 50% paid prior to final processing in the laboratory). Patients
must go through an initial screening appointment; if accepted for treatment, they will then have a treatment planning
appointment.

SLU Periodontic / Endodontic Clinic
SLU Periodontic / Endodontic Clinic offers periodontic, endodontic and orthodontic work only. They do not accept
Medicaid or Medicare, but they do accept most insurance plans. Payment is due at time of service, and fees are
generally 50-60% less than private practice services. Patients must have a referral from a dentist or physician for
periodontic and endodontic work. Prospective orthodontic patients will do a screening visit.

St. Louis Community College Dental Hygiene Clinic
St. Louis Community College Dental Hygiene Clinic provides general dentistry services. St. Louis Community College
faculty, staff and students receive a 50% discount. Discounts are available for Medicare recipients, and Medicaid card
holders are free. Other patients pay a nominal fee. The Clinic is closed for semester breaks.

The St. Louis County Health Department offers general dentistry services to St. Louis County residents. Services are
provided on a sliding scale basis. Medicaid is accepted. There is a waiting list for services, though transportation is
available.
