What is Blood
Pressure?
Blood pressure is the amount of
pressure your blood is exerting on
your blood vessels.
It is highest in the arteries, lower in
the capillaries, and even less in the
veins.
What is Blood Pressure?
Blood pressure is always expressed in terms
of two numbers, for example 112/60.
The first number is a measure of the
pressure when ventricles contract.
(pushing blood out of the heart)
The second numbers is a measure of the
pressure when ventricles fill up.
