University of Florida Department of Astronomy presents A Starry Night The Birth of Stars and Planets at the Florida Museum of Natural History Thursday, April 12, 5-10 p.m. 6 p.m. Family-Oriented Lecture Wanderers in the Celestial Sphere & Beyond Dr. Stephen Kane, University of Florida. 7 p.m. Featured Guest Lecture The Search for Stellar Origins from Antiquity to the 21st Century Dr. Charles Lada, Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. Special Activities Watch planetarium shows and look through telescopes at planets, stars, and nebulae.
