Silent Sustained Reading (20 minutes)
Propaganda Poster Gallery Walk

Create a name tent.

Leave your poster on your desk. (Anything else should be
underneath your desk)

For a song length, you will walk around the room viewing your peers
posters. Take note of what you like or the Propaganda techniques
you noticed. You may leave your peers a note of appraisal using a
post-it.

Afterwards, we will have a brief discussion.


Each group will receive a speech, in the speech identify the
appeal(s).
Exit Ticket

Write a paragraph (8-10) sentences in which you take a position on
one of the following questions and use at least three different
rhetorical devices or persuasive techniques. Label the device or
technique used. You do not need to do any research. In this case,
your personal opinion will be sufficient:

1) Should school uniforms be mandatory for all students?

2) Should teachers be prevented from assigning homework to their
students?

3) Should cell phones be permitted in class?
