• How can you use all of the information from this unit
to create a plan for yourself or a friend that will help
keep them from getting pregnant while being sexually
active?
• Work with a partner or a small group and go through
your notes together. Create the best plan you can
using the methods covered in class, with the exception
of surgical methods and the morning after pill.
• See how many methods you can combine, keeping in
mind that you cannot combine all methods together.

use the if you have never used a hormone
regulator before?
Reflection…
• Why is the birth control shot a bad method to
use the if you have never used a hormone
regulator before?
• Because it is a three month commitment and
if you have problems with the side effects you
are stuck with them for 3 months.
Reflection…
• Which method is the worst option for teens?
Reflection…
• Which method is the worst options for teens?
• Sterilization and vasectomy, because they are
not easily reversed and expensive.
• Withdrawal, if the teen is inexperienced it
makes it more difficult to know when to pull
out.
Reflection…
• Which method do doctors say is the best
option for teens to use with condoms?
Reflection…
• Which method do doctors say is the best
option for teens to use with condoms?
• Doctors are supporting teens using IUD
because it prevents pregnancy for such a long
time and is so effective.
Reflection…
• Is it better to use two condoms?
Reflection…
• Is it better to use two condoms?
• No, because wearing two condoms causes
friction, which can tear latex.
• Can’t use male and female condoms together.
Reflection…
• Why don’t women use Plan B every time they
are worried about unwanted pregnancy?
Reflection…
• Why don’t women use Plan B every time they
are worried about unwanted pregnancy?
• Because there is such a concentration of
hormones that it would be bad for you to use
it more than a few times in a lifespan.
