The Armed Forces Medical Examiner System (AFMES) is responsible for
conducting medical‐legal death investigations for the Department of
Defense and other federal agencies. Career positions support on‐going
operations of the AFMES and its divisions, which include:
• Division of Forensic Toxicology
• Department of Defense DNA Registry
• Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory (AFDIL)
• Armed Forces Repository of Specimen Sample for the
Identification of Remains (AFRSSIR)
The ARP Sciences LLC is seeking highly qualified individuals to fill scientific, administrative, logistic,
information technology and scientific support positions within the Armed Forces Medical Examiner
System. These positions cover a wide range of educational and work experience qualifications. Candidates
must be able to complete a successful background investigation and the ability to obtain a minimum of a
Secret Clearance.

Personnel are hired to support the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System operations at Dover Air Force Base, DE. Travel may also be required to
support mission operations in the United States or
overseas.
These are contract positions with the ARP Sciences LLC. Salaries will be commensurate with experience
and education. Comprehensive benefit packages are offered to successful candidates.

Examiner System, provides expertise in scientific laboratory operations, research, and field investigations around the

world as part of the Department of Defense personnel accounting mission. This world class operation has been
recognized for its significant scientific &humanitarian accomplishments.
 Support of medical‐legal death investigations of U.S.
military personnel around the world.
 Analyze post‐mortem autopsy data aiding in the
development of new personnel protection systems and
military vehicles that will enhance the safety and
survivability of our military forces.
 Provide quality assurance oversight of the DoD Drug
Testing and Forensic Toxicology programs.
 Research and analyze post‐mortem and human
performance drug testing for all DoD military aircraft,
ship, and ground accidents.
 Coordinate the collection of direct DNA references of all Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard
personnel and authorized civilians supporting the war‐fighter.
 Provide evidence response teams and laboratory support for assistance to the National Transportation
Safety Board and the HHS‐National Disaster Medical System during mass disaster situations.
 Provide DNA laboratory capability to support the identification of missing American personnel from the
Vietnam War, Korean War, Cold War, World War II, World I, and the Civil War.
 Use the latest automated DNA forensic capabilities to support DoD programs for the war‐fighter.
 Direct applied research of new scientific technologies for use in forensic laboratory operations.
