Microscope Lab - Observing plant and animal Cells
Purpose: Observe differences and similarities between plant and animal cells
Procedure:
1. Create wet mount of onion skin, stain the specimen, and draw onion cells under high
power.
2. Do the same with your cheek cells. Rub toothpick on the inside of your cheek and
rotate it in the drop of the stain on your slide to wash off the cheek cells. Cover with
coverslip and draw under high power.
3. Observe prepared slides of frog and human blood and draw them under high power.
4. Label cell membrane, cytoplasm, nucleus, and cell wall on each drawing if present.
