Traditions/Cool Stuff
The Tarantella is an old Italian folk dance.
Some people still do the dance at festivals and
sometimes with friends.
In Venice, Italy people can ride through town in
water canals on boats called gondolas instead of
cars on streets. So cool!
Italy has everything. Sunny beaches to swim at
AND
scary volcanoes like one called Stromboli. It is
the most active volcano on earth!!

Language in Italy
In Italy they speak mostly Italian.
Some people speak German or French because
those countries are close.
Italians use the same alphabet as us but they say
it different ways.
Italian words use accent marks on some letters
so you say them a little different.
My family does not speak Italian
but I liked learning
new words.
