Other subjects covered in this course include econometric modeling: specification and diagnostic test, non-linear regression models, qualitative dependent variable models, panel data regression models and dynamic models. In this curriculum, econometric theory and the concepts of econometric model, type of data used in econometric studies, data measurement techniques, estimation techniques and the properties of ordinary least square estimator are covered. Single and multiple regression models, functional forms, parameter estimations, t, F and chi-square tests, hypothesis tests, correlation and determination coefficients and the confidence interval of the parameters are examined. The structural change, the accuracy of functional form, and specification bias, the model estimated with OLS, are the basic topics of this course. Econometrical and statistical software (STATA and SPSS) are introduced and applied with current economic data. Hyphothesis testing, one sample t test, independent samples t test, paired samples t test, tests for proportion, test for the difference of two proportions, test for population’s variance, naormality tests, homojenity tests, one way ANOVA, multiple comparisons, crosstabulation and chi-square test, wilcoxan rank test, kruskal wallis test, Man Whitney test Prof.Dr.Murat KARAÖZ, Email: [email protected] Tel: +90 2423101833 Doç.Dr. Mehmet Mert [email protected] r Tel: 242 310 18 94 Adres: Dumlupınar Bulvarı 07058 Kampüs ANTALYA Ayrıntılı bilgi için irtibat: S.YETER Telefon : (0242) 310 2125 Faks: (0242) 310 66 29 E-posta : erasmus @akdeniz.edu.tr Elektronik Ağ: www.akdeniz.edu.tr Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences/ Econometrics Econometrics
