MODULE SUMMARY
The module provides a solid foundation in the concepts, tools and techniques of project
management, monitoring and evaluation. Other critical aspects of the project cycle will
be surveyed.

MODULE REQUIREMENTS
1. Students are required to submit 2 written assignments, participate in practical exercises and
have at least one class presentation by the end of the semester. All assignments should be
handed in on or before due date.
2. Students should complete all assigned readings and tasks prior to class meetings. Additional
readings to the general reading list provided in this module outline will be recommended for
each topic. Development project management is volatile, sporadic and dynamic and a lot of
reading is therefore required in order for one to keep abreast of emerging trends.
3. Students are expected to attend all class meetings, undertake assigned seminar presentations
and generously share knowledge and experiences with co-learners during class meetings.
