to the topic below.

Human cloning has long been a controversial issue and
theory that only recently became a reality. With all the
media craziness surrounding the first animal clone, a sheep
named Dolly, cloning has finally come into the public eye.
There are many sides to human cloning, especially
concerning the medical and ethical worlds. Deciphering the
human genetic code promises a dramatic era of
understanding, treating and preventing inherited diseases
such as hemophilia and muscular dystrophy. But at the same
time, advances in genetic research force us to address the
social implications of being able to fundamentally alter
our inner composition.

Should researchers be allowed to tinker with our
genetic codes or create copies of human beings? Take a
position on the issue and provide reasons for your
arguments.

Support your answer with examples using personal
experience and/or your reading.
