Cell Diagram Rubric---Plant
Grade: 1-5 pts. possible for each component of your drawing. Please refer to your textbook on pages 90-91. Please do not directly
copy the book; be creative! You may also use online resources from home, but please make sure they are accurate. Please draw only
the specified organelles and do so in detail. Be sure to trim down your diagram paper so that it will fit into your SINQ before you
begin drawing (but don’t glue it in yet).

______ Title your drawing: Plant Cell (1)

______ Well drawn plant cell diagram (on a separate sheet of paper, not in your SINQ) (5)
o
Paper trimmed to fit SINQ before you begin
o
Include: cell membrane, cell wall, nucleus, mitochondria, chloroplast, vacuole

______ Drawing should take up most of (at least ½) the page (1)

______ Color cell components neatly (3)

______ Write labels for cell components with brief descriptions of their complementary
functions (spelling counts) 2 point per structure/function combination (more than just what’s in the book) (12)

______ Use ruler to underline labels and draw straight lines to each component (1)

______ At the bottom of the diagram page, write “differs from animal:” and then
explain the major differences (2)
______ Total points (25)
