ISLAM OR CHRISTIANITY
(The Difference)

We are locked in a war of ideals and religious convictions. We have called it the
war on terrorism. For the bulk of Americans, we adhere to our heritage that is
based on our Founders’ concepts of Judaic/Christian principles. Our way of life,
our laws and our customs here in the United States of America stem from this
moral/ethical view. We esteem our national heritage and our belief in God of the
Bible. To acknowledge God and as a sign of respect, this is engraved on our
currency, namely the motto, In God We Trust.
As a populace, we cannot comprehend people who are driven by a religion that
hates, kills in the name and by the authority of their god. We Americans cannot
grasp the terrorist shedding blood of the innocent as part and in compliance of
his/her religion. Maybe a little ideological comparison may help us understand
the difference:
FROM THE NEW TESTAMENT OF JESUS CHRIST
Galatians 5:14, “For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, even in this:
Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”
Matthew 5:43-44, “Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy
neighbor, and hate thine enemy, but I say unto you, Love your enemies,
bless them that curse you, and do good to them that hate you, and pray for
them which despitefully use you, and persecute you…”
Matthew 5:9, “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the
children of God.”
ISLAMIC ATTITUDE TOWARD WAR AND CONQUEST
“The sword,” says Mohammed, “is the key of heaven and hell; a drop of
blood shed in the cause of Allah, a night spent in arms, is of more avail
than two months of fasting or prayer: whosoever falls in battle, his sins are
forgiven, and at the day of judgment his limbs shall be supplied by the
wings of angels and cherubim.”… “War against unbelievers is legalized by
the Koran. The fighting men are to be slain, the women and children
reduced to slavery. Jews and Christians are dealt with more leniently than
idolaters; but they too must be thoroughly humbled and forces to pay
tribute.”…”The argument of Mohammedanism against other religions was
the sword.” (Pages 171,190 and 195, Volume 4, The Conquests of Islam,
History of the Christian Church, by Philip Schaff)
After reading the above quotes by the respected historian Philip Schaff, we
understand why Muslims wish to blow themselves up and to kill in the name of
Allah. Violence coupled with hate directed toward Christians and Jews and other
religions are part of the conformist Muslim mindset. Militant radical orthodox
Islam hates our Christian heritage and is motivated to kill and destroy us for who
we are. With our current political correctness in full force here in the USA, we
hear soothing explanation about Islam such as, “It’s ideology and not religion.” I
beg to differ! It is their orthodox religion that is being practiced. It does not take a
great student of the religion of Mohammedanism to see the violent nature of this
belief system. If the above quotes about the religion of Islam do not mean what it
says, what does it mean? Mark this down, their religion as they understand it,
approves of war, terrorism, killing and chaos. All this in the name of Allah!
It is understood that many in our world community who practice the religion of
Islam are not violent. They wish to live in peace! For such type of people we all
pray that peace and sanity will return to the world. God Help Us!
