Islam is located all around the world. Primarily, Islam is
centralized in the Middle East but the majority, 62%, live in
the Asia-Pacific area.

Changes of Islam



Umayyad Caliphate moved the capital from Mecca to
Damascus
Abbasid Caliphate moved the capital back to Baghdad.
Another major change was in the gender relationships
where women enjoyed a more active and stronger voice
in society and were allowed to take highly valued roles in
government, business, and education.
Continuity
 Islam
stayed the same in several aspects,
such as its steadfast beliefs and its
academic achievements in math, science,
and literature.
