Chromosomes & Genes Foldable
1. Draw a cell on the page 1. The
bigger you draw it, the easier the
rest of the steps will be.
2. Draw a nucleus inside the cell. Once
again, the bigger you draw it, the
easier the rest of the steps will be.
3. Cut out the nucleus on the first page.
4. On page 2, draw the nucleus. Make it the same size as the nucleus on the first
page. The easiest way to do this is to trace it through page 1.
5. Draw a square inside the nucleus on page 2,
and cut it out.
6. Draw a chromosome on page 3. Make sure it lines up to
fit inside the square when viewed from page 2.
7. Cut out one small section of the chromosome on page 3.

8. Draw a gene on page 4. Make sure it is visible from page 3.
9. Color all of the pages. Be sure to label the cell, nucleus, chromosome, and gene
pages. Give as much information about each one as you can.
