2.3 Can I use my phone as a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot and
access the Internet from another device using my phone's
data connection?
Yes. To implement this, turn on the Wi-Fi hotspot on your phone as follows:
Go to Settings > More > Mobile networks >Mobile Wi-Fi hotspot.
After a device connects to your phone over Wi-Fi, you can access the Internet from that
device using your phone's mobile data connection.
To set the hotspot name and encryption mode, go to Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings.
2.4 How do I connect my phone to a Wi-Fi hotspot with a
static IP address to access the Internet?
Touch Settings, go to Wireless & networks, touch Wi-Fi, and touch a hotspot. In the

Featured functions of the general version

3.1 Smart remote control
3.1.1 What are the angle and distance for my phone's infrared
remote control?
Your phone's infrared transmitter is small for the purpose of your phone's elegant appearance.
Therefore, the angle is ±9° and the distance is 5 meters to 7 meters for your phone's infrared
remote control.
3.1.2 Why do I have to align my phone's infrared transmitter with
the infrared port on a television or air conditioner for the
transmitter to function properly?
Compared to remote controls for televisions and air conditioners, your phone's infrared
transmitting tube is slimmer with smaller transmitting power. Therefore, your phone must be
aligned with the infrared port on a television or air conditioner.
3.1.3 Why can't my phone learn from an air conditioner remote
control?
The infrared waveforms of an air conditioner remote control are complicated as they vary in
different temperature ranges.
3.1.4 Why are some buttons gray and unavailable after my phone
has paired with a remote control?
Different remote controls use different protocols, even if they are produced by the same
manufacturer. Your phone uses the OSM filter and pairing technology to ensure that your
phone can pair with the target remote control as fast as possible. However, for remote controls
that have only a few buttons, the OSM technology will help your phone to choose the most
suitable learning code (with the highest coverage degree). In this case, you can edit the remote
control for your phone to learn the unavailable buttons.

3.1.5 What can I do if my phone can't successfully learn from a
remote control?
Your phone's infrared transmitter is small for the purpose of your phone's elegant appearance.
Therefore, align your phone's infrared transmitter with the infrared port with the remote
control at a distance of 5 cm to make sure your phone can receive the waveform from the
remote control.
3.1.6 Why can't my phone learn from some home appliances'
remote controls?
Some home appliances are controlled by remote controls over Bluetooth, but your phone is
equipped with the infrared remote control function.
To check whether a remote control functions using infrared:
Open the camera and direct the camera to the transmitting tube and press a button on the
remote control. If you see the infrared light on the viewfinder, the remote control functions
using infrared.
3.1.7 Why can't my phone pair with a remote control?
Different remote controls use different protocols, even if they are produced by the same
manufacturer. Your phone uses the OSM filter and pairing technology to ensure that your
phone can pair with the target remote control as fast as possible. However, the OSM
technology has not covered all the brands of remote controls. If your phone can't pair with a
remote control, use your phone's user-defined remote control function to learn from the
remote control.
3.1.8 How do I display the remote control's simplified panel from
the notification panel?
On any screen in the smart remote control application, touch the home button to return to the
home screen, and then the remote control simplified panel will be displayed in the notification
panel.
3.1.9 Why do I need multiple buttons to control some home
appliances while only one button to control the others using my

Different remote controls use different protocols, even if they are produced by the same
manufacturer. Your phone uses the OSM filter and pairing technology to ensure that your
phone can pair with the target remote control as fast as possible. However, the OSM
technology functions in different modes for different home appliances.

3 Featured functions of the general version of the
PE-TL10 outside China
1.
Your phone is capable of recording depth of field ranging from 40 cm to infinity.
Accompanied with the advanced algorithm, you can perform operations on the photos
with depth of field, such as refocusing and adding depth filters.
2.
The two cameras are capable of calculating the distance of the captured objects,
especially moving objects, for ultra-fast focus. Supported by the closed-loop focus motor,
the focusing speed is even faster.
3.
The information captured by the two cameras is the same for simultaneous exposure and
integration, which helps improve the image quality and realize the function of shooting
multiple photos at the same time.
3.2.2 What is the purpose of the two rear cameras?
The secondary camera records depth of field and ensures clear image at the focus. Parts
outside the focus are provided with the bokeh effect. As a result, depth of field photos with
clear focus yet blurred background are produced.
3.2.3 Can I shoot wide aperture photos if I block one of the two
cameras?
No. The relevant algorithm is dependent on the simultaneous working of the two cameras. If
one of the two cameras is blocked, the depth of field cannot be obtained.
3.2.4 Why can't I refocus, add filters to, or edit photos in Gallery
after I shoot the photos in wide aperture mode?
In some extreme scenarios, for example, one of the two cameras is blocked or your phone is at
a close distance from the captured object, your phone fails to obtain valid distance
information from the photos, resulting in failure to edit such photos in Gallery.
3.2.5 Why does my gallery display photos slowly?
To achieve better image quality, your phone processes the photos using a certain algorithm in
the background. Sometimes the processing may take a long time, so your gallery may display
the photos slowly. Wait for a while and you can view the photos.
3.2.6 After I use my phone for a couple of months, why can't I
find the refocus, bokeh, or filter editing menus in Gallery for the
photos I take in wide aperture mode?
In some extreme scenarios, for example, one of the two cameras is blocked or your phone is at
a close distance from the captured object, your phone fails to obtain valid distance
information from the photos, resulting in failure to edit such photos in Gallery.
If you have used the wide aperture function for a long time and fail to add the bokeh effect to
or refocus any one of the photos in Gallery, use the cameras for some more time. If the
problem persists, take your phone to a maintenance outlet to calibrate the parameters. Replace
the cameras if necessary.

3.2.7 Why is the bokeh effect bad in some areas of a photo that I
shoot in wide aperture mode?
Your phone needs to precisely identify each pixel to achieve the bokeh effect on a photo.
However, in some scenarios, it may fail to identify every pixel. Therefore, the bokeh effect is
not precise either. To avoid this phenomenon, you can choose to precisely adjust the focus and
bokeh degree.
3.2.8 Why is the bokeh effect achieved on only one side of a photo
that is taken in wide aperture mode?
Your phone needs to precisely identify each pixel to achieve the bokeh effect on a photo. In
some scenarios, it may fail to identify every pixel. In this case, the bokeh effect is not precise
either. To avoid this phenomenon, you can choose to precisely adjust the focus and bokeh
degree.
3.2.9 What do different width values on the aperture bar mean?
Just like those on a single-lens reflex camera, different width values represent different
degrees of the bokeh effect. The degree of the bokeh effect increases as the width value
decreases.
