THE COALITION WAS FORMED TO EDUCATE OURSELVES, OUR FRIENDS AND
FAMILIES ABOUT THE PROPOSED HEALTHCARE BILLS BEING CONSIDERED
IN CONGRESS. WE ARE GRASSROOTS CITIZENS CONCERNED ABOUT THE
DELIVERY AND COST OF OUR HEALTHCARE. WHAT WE FOUND IN BILL 3200,
“THE AFFORDABLE HEALTH CHOICES ACT” CONCERNS US VERY MUCH.
Some major concerns:
 Cost is projected at $1.5 Trillion, about 6% of GDP. That is larger than
the economy of Great Britian and they want to rush it through!? This
will increase our cost for HC insurance and increase our taxes.

Private insurance will become illegal. No private policies can be written
after day one, year one of bill enactment (Pg. 16). Medicare
Advantage plans, HMO’s may be disqualified. You will NOT be able to
keep your current plans, private insurance companies will go away.

A commissioner appointed by the president will head a committee of
18 that will decide what healthcare you can have. A huge bureaucracy
will be needed for management of this debacle. See attached diagram.

The Bill will create rationing especially for seniors. If not on the
approved list, you may have to forego needed medical procedures
despite your physician’s advice.

You will be required to have end-of-life counseling every five years or
more (Pg. 425). You may be denied end-of-life services.

The bureaucracy will have access to your personal and financial
records including your bank accounts for EFT transfers.

All non-US citizens, illegal or not, will be provided free HC services.

Government will set and mandate drug prices and control which drugs
come into the marketplace. Say goodbye to innovation.

HC services to cancer patients will be rationed.

Under mandated State Family Planning Services, publically funded
abortions will take place. It doesn’t say that but that is the intent.
Opposition to this was voted down.

Congress doesn’t want to be on this plan, they voted to keep their tax
payer funded top drawer insurance plans. They get the finest care.
These are FACTS and there is a lot more to be worried about.
