Title- Pharmacist
Provide prescriptions to patients with strict compliance by following California State
Board of Pharmacy and FDA laws; Review prescriptions to assure accuracy and
completeness before filling to provide better therapeutic care of the patient;
Provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage and
proper medication storage; Analyze prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance and
to prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions; Order and purchase pharmaceutical
supplies, medical supplies, and drugs & maintaining stock, storing and handling it
properly; Maintain records, such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, inventories and
control records for narcotics and controlled drugs; Provide specialized services to help
patients manage conditions such as diabetes, asthma, smoking cessation, or high blood
pressure; Advise customers on the selection of medication brands, medical equipment
and health care supplies; Collaborate with other health care professionals to plan,
monitor, review, and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of drugs and drug regimens,
providing advice on drug applications and characteristics; Compound and dispense
medications as prescribed by doctors and dentist, by calculating, weighing, measuring,
and mixing ingredients; Offer health promotion and prevention activities, for example ,
training people to use devices such as blood pressure or diabetes monitors;
Manage pharmacy operations, hiring and supervising staff, giving training to new interns
and technicians, performing administrative duties, and also buying and selling of nonpharmaceutical merchandise; Review, process and dispense medication orders and
prescriptions as per state and federal laws; Monitor drug therapy appropriateness for
pediatric, adults and geriatric patients.
Requires Bachelor of Science degree or foreign equivalent in Pharmaceutical Science,
Pharmacy, or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered, Technician,
Chemist or related occupation. Required to have a license from Board of Pharmacy to
