Course Description:
This course is designed to strengthen basic math skills. Topics include real
number system, sets and their representation, intervals, absolute values,
exponents, radicals,
quadratic polynomial factoring. It includes also
solving linear, quadratic, radical, absolute value equations and inequalities.
Moreover, function concept, linear and quadratic functions, graph of
functions, polynomial and rational functions are studied. This is besides
learning the basic ideas in probability theory. Upon the course completion,
students should be able to perform basic computations and apply the
concepts learned in problem solving using appropriate technology.
