A Message from Jean Leclerc,
Founder ov Bible Bungee Productions (BBP) :
Hi, web’s friends !
Today, I would like to entertain you on Matthew
11 :12 AND Adventism in the Greater Quebec. More
precisely on the Seventh day Adventist Christian Church
for which I have been working as a pastor during 22 years
of my life.
When I was working as a pastor, here in Québec, I
began working on the Bungee Project, with the idea of
helping my Church by bublishing on the web studies and
testimonies. I was considering to publish Bungee a bit like
an « offering of love » for my God, and for my Church with
the Three Angels Message which I learned to love so
much.
Briefly, I arrived at the year 2008, and I felt that the
following year I would probably be ready to AT LAST
publish www.biblebungee.com. . . . But when the 2009
came, . . . the president of our conference of Quebec
announced to everybody that the funds for the workers
were not sufficient, and that three pastors were
endangered. A sacrifice offering was gathered. But the
funds were still insufficient. And May 1 saw three ordained
Québec pastors being thanked for their services. I was
one of those three.
Note carefully : For 22 years of my life, I have been
a pastor of the Adventist Church, and at the end of my first
quarter of my service, I was ORDAINED TO THE
PASTORAL MINISTRY FOR LIFE. FOR LIFE! . . . Except
that on May 1, 2009, I was nevertheless thanked for my
services with two other ordained pastors. And I still do not
understand how we, today, could come to put ordained
FOR LIFE pastors, at the door, while an even but lesser
sharing of the portion of the tithes for the support of
workers could, according to me, maintain ordained pastors
in place, until the crisis be passed.

Today, I still feel the desire to help my Church and publish www.biblebungee.com.
But after two long years of prayer and
reflections, I feel the Spirit of God inviting me to use
MY FREEDOM OF SPEECH – even though I have
the feeling I will certainly do it with some
awkwardness on my part, since I am not the best
writer in town. – But when I consider JESUS who
used fishermen and rude tax collectors who had
absolutely no refinement, I take courage, and I say
to myself that Jesus can even use A GUY AS
INADEQUATE, AS COMPLEXED, AS DIRECT, AS
HOT, PASSIONED, AND IDEALISTIC AS ME,
Jean Leclerc, son of Marcel, son of Gaudiose
Leclerc, my dear grandpa of our beautiful Îsland of
Orleans (Iles d’Orléans, Québec)!
Of course, you saw that the hairy man on the picture is not me. But with his air of uncertainty, he
ressembles me. And I choose to use him on this picture to make MY OFFICIAL ANNOUCEMENT to you :
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!
In this first of may of the year 2011 after Jesus-Christ, you are now witnessing the INITIAL LEAP of Bible
Bungee Productions via its official web site (www.biblebungee.com). I make myself a point of honour in front of
you, all, (as a Testimony of Love for my Saviour) to humbly offer Bungee to God FOR THE HEALING OF HIS
PEOPLE AND OUR HEALING, ALL OF US.
Of course, I am conscious that Bungee represents only one voice. But I pray God that other voices will
be heard, voices thirsty for Healing and Dialogue.
I ask God that through the humble mediation of www.biblebungee.com many Adventist leaders and
members – AND EVEN MANY NON-ADVENTISTS – will come to states of consciousness and states of position
that will provide healing for them individually, AND that will also provide some healing at the level of the
Worldwide Seventh day Adventist Church, and of Québec, it is important World Mission.
I therefore sollicit YOUR PRAYERS for www.biblebungee.com and I thank you ahead of time your
prayers which make you become « Associate Bungee Members. » Pray that God may protect us from evil and
that He teaches to USE WELL OUR FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

Of course, let us expect some awkwardness on our part.
Nevertheless, if we NEVER give each other the Chance to discuss at
deeper and more authentic levels, we will never learn; right?(. . .)
Nevertheless, IT IS AS WE SPEAK THAT WE GET TO UNDERSTAND
EACH OTHER! And on this, I say : IT IS AS WE SPEAK ON THE
ESSENTIAL AND BY TRULY OPENING OURSELVES, that we get to
understand each other ! As to the awkwardness attached to the fact that
we have not spoken much on these things in the past, well GOD IS
THERE to teach us to conquer ! AND EVEN, TO TEACH US TO
REPLACE THIS AWKWARDNESS BY A GREAT WISDOM, IN VIEW OF
GREAT SUCCESSED IN THE FUTUR !

out a spirit of rebellion among Québécois Adventists and others,
NOR a spirit of hardening among the leaders; but to MAKE
ROOM TO DIALOGUE IN ORDER TO
(1) BRING OUT A SPIRIT OF DIALOGUE, AND
ESPECIALLY,
(2) A SPIRIT OF OPENING TO THE SPIRIT OF GOD
WHO WANTS TO HEAL AND WHO WANTS TO HELP THE
QUÉBÉCOIS TO FIND THEIR PLACE IN ADVENTISM IN
QUÉBEC.
ROOM TO DIALOGUE
(3) IN VIEW OF HELPING THE QUÉBÉCOISE NONADVENTIST MAJORITY TO FIND IN THE ADVENTIST CHURCH
A WHOLESOME DYNAMIC.
(4) IN VIEW OF A DYNAMIC THAT WILL HELP NONADVENTIST QUÉBÉCOIS IN THEIR NEED TO INTEGRATE THIS
IMPORTANT CHRISTIAN CHURCH WHICH GOD WANTS TO
USE, IN THIS CRUCIAL TIME OF THE END.
SO, THAT’S IT!
I just said IN CAPITAL LETTERS what I dedicate Bungee to God for.
In fact, I ask to the purists of the English language to manifest much mercy towards me and my writing
style.
I know that I use CAPITAL LETTERS without giving any due consideration to the rules of publication.
I would like to respect the rules and not to offend the defenders of the English language. But I cannot but
use CAPITAL LETTERS, because I do not write with my head. I am writing with my heart. And MY
HEART CRIES OUT!
I therefore sense that I have to DARE even in my way of writing, by ignoring conventions.

heart speak, and even the necessity of the unconventional
use of CAPITAL LETTERS to draw the attention on
essential things – and that—through THE DIRECT TONE

CAPITAL LETTERS.
Therefore, Thank you for your kindness to pass the
sponge on my awkwardness of Publications (and of
translation from French to English), and also on my rough
and non-refined side.

As for Matthew 11 :12, well, I believe it is a passage that becomes important here. Why? Because in
Matthew 11 :12, we hear Jesus (the Messiah of Prophétie) telling us, « the kingdom of heaven suffereth
violence, and THE VIOLENTS ONES take it by force. »
I certainly do not pretend that www.biblebungee.com is what God needs in order to free us from our evils,
through the use of the SPIRITUAL VIOLENCE to which Jésus invites us, here – whethrer it be violence of
freedom of speech or others.
GOD
CHOSES
TO
NEED
US !
We all know that God is able to solve His own problems
alone, without us. YET, GOD CHOSES TO NEED US. This is a
thought that encourages me, ME THE « LITLE QUÉBÉCOIS »
who needs so much to learn to see himself THROUGH THE EYES
OF THE ALL POWERFUL GOD.
Dear friend, listen carefully :
IF JESUS INVITES US TO BECOMES HIS DISCIPLES, IT
IS FOR US TO FOLLOW HIM AND TO LEARN FROM HIM TO
USE OUR RIGHT TO SPEAK.
In my case, keep in mind that in 2009, me and my two other colleagues have been termated from our
position as ORDAINED FOR LIFE PASTORS . . . .
As for me, sine the 1st of May, 2009, here I am face to face with a lay off from my position
CONSACRATED PASTOR FOR LIFE, AND ON TOP OF THAT, here I am being PROVOQUED THROUGH
THE SILENCE OF MY LEADERS who did not seek to establish bridges of DEEP AND MATURE
COMMUNICATION to help me to come out of my crisis.
I therefore see myself provoked (1) by a lay off I cannot reconcile with the biblical concept of the
ordination to the ministry, and (2) provoked by a leadership that became too silent.
ON TOP OF THAT, my deeply idealistic nature and TRUE RELATIONS thirsty nature, you are not
without imagining the intense thirst I feel right now, and my aspiration and idealism that make me HOPE to see
ourselves on day living open relationships, TRULY OPEN!

Yes! LIKE YOU, I AM THIRSTY TO FEEL US LIKE EQUALS WHO
WORK TOGETHER IN LOVE.
For now, I am sorry, but I do not feel that we are living that
right now, in my Church, in Québec. I am looking forward to se me
able to use Bungee one day, to tell you that I changed my mind. But
right now, I do not feel that.
Today, I see leaders with a deaf ear, I sense that the members
are around their leaders, but I see members who are asleep towards
what happens in our unspoken words.
Today, I see much activisme towards making baptisms, but
too little passion to break certain silences which need breaking since
too long.
Today, I see people who have become institutionalized
Adventists, and – as to the Québécois of origin – I see colonised
Adventists.

Today, I feel provoked. And I feel that I should not be
the only one to say it!
When I was a Pastor in Québec, I was often used as a translator-interpreter.
Today., I hear God (the Ultimate President of the General Conference) who sends me a
Call fro translator-interpreter. And this time, it is NOT to translate and interpret the words
and sentiment of other preachers. This time, I feel GOD CALL ME VIA
WWW.BIBLEBUNGEE.COM TO TRANSLATE AND INTERPRET A QUÉBÉCOIS
ADVENTIST, ME. And a QUÉBÉCOIS PASTOR, ON TOP. AND that’s me again!
THE
TIME
HAS
COME!
I hear God telling me : « JEAN, IT IS NECESSARY! DO
IT! THE TIME HAS COME! »
AND, after having been laid off from the pastoral ministry in
which I have been ORDAINED FOR LIFE, and – on top of that -FACE TO FACE WITH AN UNACCEPTABLE SILENCE ON THE
PART OF THE LEADERS AND OF MY QUÉBÉCOIS
CONTEMPORARY ADVENTITS, I sense that THE TIME TO
SPEAK UP HAS ARRIVED.
QUÉBÉCOIS, LET US BREAK THE SILENCE.
I COULD BE IN ERROR. BUT THE SILENCE OF SOME TELLS
ME THAT THEY MAY BE ACTIVE TO « SUPPORT » THEIR
LEADERS, BUT IN THE EYES OF GOD, THEY HAVE BECOME
TOO TOLERANT.
I WOULD SAY THAT MANY ARE EVEN (1) BLIND,
AND (2) DEAF AND DUMB, TOWARDS THE
EXPECTATIONS GOD HAS TOWARDS THEM TO SPEAK UP.
Here, in a nutchell, why I feel that THE TIME of

Bien sûr, je sais que Dieu ne va forcer personne à
utiliser sa liberté de parole. Je sais que Dieu nous invite
au courage de la Liberté de Parole. Mais je sais aussi que
si les Québécois continuent dans leur passivité, peu vont
répondre à l’invitation Bungee. Est-ce que cela va prouver
que Bungee fait erreur et que le peuple a « montré » que
tout va bien et qu’il n’y a pas besoin de dialogue plus
profond entre nous? Non. Si Bungee ne réussi qu’à
susciter qu’une poignée de mains d’Adventistes qui sont
prêts à entrer dans le combat, cela ne voudra dire que le
peuple n’est pas prêt, et qu’il faudra attendre une autre
fois. Cela peut nous rappeller le discours de René
Lévèques, au Référendum. Mais nous ne parlons pas de
politique, ici. Nous parlons de la Cause de Dieu. Certains
pourraient appeler Bungee un « ministère d’activistes
politiques » qui cherchent à « ralentir le travail de ceux qui
construisent les murs de Jérusalem », mais c’est FAUX.

at stimulating deeper reflections and to fan more mature dialogues. Consult the present SURVEY 2011.1
entitled « Is there COLONIALISM in Adventism in Québec? » Print the survey and make a Book, by making
sure to print each article of the accompanying series entitled « MATTHEW 11 :12 & ADVENTISM IN THE
GREATER-QUÉBEC » (on www.biblebungee.com). You have the right to make copies, as long as you give
credit to Bible Bungee Productions. We suggest that you place the Bungee Surveys IN THE ANNEXE, at

they will have a right to wonder whether you are walking in Jesus. None of us can et must buy as cash
everything that is decided in the Church, and the leaders must be open to critique and confession of their
mistakes. But if we become cold and severe, we become instruments of Satan.
In the present survey, Jean Leclerc (himself a Québécois Adventist of the Greater Quebec) addresses
delicate questions which, according to him, have been kept under silence for too long. In fact, « pastor
Leclerc » believes God requires a greater transparency among Adventists. On this note of frankness, he
invites you to consider a SITUATION OF ACTUALITY that requires Adventistes of the Greater Quebec to well
assume their « DOUBLE CITIZENSHIP » -- the one that joins them to HEAVEN, and the one that joins them to
their native land, QUÉBEC ! ! ! -- Whether you be Adventist or not, Québécois of origin or not – if it is only
for your personal enrichment – you owe it to yourself to take thirty minutes of your time in company of the
present SURVEY 2011 and its accompanying message « MATTHEW 11 :12 & ADVENTISM IN THE GREATER
QUEBEC. Of course, since the present material comes from « Bible Bungee Productions », expect to be
challenged. After all, who says « BIBLE » and « BUNGEE » says « CHALLENGE. » This is why, as Jesus
says in Matthew 11 :12, « Bible Bungee Productions » believe that « IT IS BY DARING FOR CHRIST AND
WITH HIM THAT WE WILL CONQUER IN THE TRUTH – THEREFORE, THROUGH TRANSPARENCY
between Church members, and ESPECIALLY the leaders. » The question of SURVEY 2011.1 will require
leaders and members to be candid with the question, and to make any needed CONFESSIONS. « Is there
COLONIALISM in Adventism in Quebec? » Here is a hot question, but a question that deserves to be
DISCUSSED. Now ATTENTION : It is by CONFESSING what truly happens between us that we will heal.
And it is certainly NOT by keeping our troubling questions under silence that we will gain maturity. We are not
austriches for us to put our heads in the sand, and changing the conversation when questions get too close.

little discussed among us. Nevertheless, we all have a right to make mistakes. The leaders of the Adventist
Church too. The thing though, is that we must LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES. And this is what BBP hopes
for wholeheartedly. And this is why we strongly encourage the formation of « BUNGEE DISCUSSION
GROUPS, in the mesure that those groups are led in a spirit of love and of constructive criticism.
So, please do meet with 1,2,3,4,5, or 6,7, or even 8 or 10 persons, and discuss the SURVEY 2011.1
AND-OR its accompanying Article in your « BUNGEE » DISCUSSION GROUP! You can even have good and
strong argumentations among yourselves, as long as you disagree in an agreeable manner. If so, we believe
that you will come out of your discussions inpired with the importance of Living with a Capital « L », in
authenticity and frankness, far from those inferiority complexes that keep too many people in situations of
slavery and even situations of « colonised » people, while God is at our disposal to give us our Victories. But
remember to ALWAYS END YOUR MEETING BY PRAYING (1) for you and your friends, (2) for your Pastors
and Leaders, and (3) for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in your locality and in the world.
Thanks for the interest you will manifest in the SURVEYS 2011. Tehe Québécois Adventists and their
leaders are definitely aimed by the survey. But only in view of helping them. May they assume with maturity
the freedom of speech manifested by Bible Bungee Productions. But may you, too, season with grace your
reading and your critique, as firm and convinced as it may be. May God bring up other ministries that will seek
more and more the true spirit of Liberty and Love that produced the Holy Gospel of Christ who gave His life to
redeem us. Furthermore, may we ALL learn from our past, turn away from our weaknesses, and UNITE in a
holy use of the Priesthood of All Believers 1 Peter 2:1-10 talks about. Also, we want to say a Special Thank

 (1) I believe too many Québécois of origin have a tendency to feel inferior, they tend to let those who are
« better » step forward. This has contributed towards a weak involvement and identity of the people born in
Quebec, in the Adventist local churches and in the office of the Conference. -- (If agree, CHECK).
 (2) I believe that, as far as the Québécois of origin are concerned, the leadership style of the Adventist
Conference is one of colonialism. (If agree, CHECK).

WHY NOT ? ? ?:
 If God has one soldier who fights THE BATTLE OF
FAITH by using his Freedom of Speech acquired at
The Cross, while the other ones are contented only to
teach the Theory of Faith to the world; on how many
among them can He count to move forward ALL the
interests of His Cause ?
 On neither one, if the soldier who uses his Freedom of
Speech does not teach the Theory of Faith.
 In order to move forward ALL the interests of God’s
Cause, we must -- (1) teach the Theory of Faith – and –
(2) fight the Battle of Faith by using one’s Freedom of
Speech.
 When, in particular, must we use our Freedom of
Speech?
 What must we expect to see and hear, in the true
manifestation of Freedom of Speech?
 If I want to use my Freedom of Speech, what conditions must I fulfill? When will I have what it takes?
 Can it be that, in order for us to understand our mistakes, in His Wisdom God must often allow us to get
busy on only one aspect of the interests of His Cause (teach the Theory of Faith), while blindly thinking
that we are doing ALL His Will ?
 Can it be that, in order to lead us to grow in a combative state of mind like the One of Christ, God allows
us to spend years “guessingly” seeking His Wisdom on the Art of Combat, so that we can become
teachable and learn to “hear” the « inner sense » of a mature Warrior? Can it be that God wants us to
develop a kind of « spiritual intuition » on how to fight with our Freedom of Speech ?
This is the kind of questions on which « Pastor » Jean Leclerc will invite
us to reflect in his Series entitled « FINDING MY PLACE. »
