Climate Change related impacts:
• Mitigation:
– improve energy efficiency of vehicles and transportation system
• Adaptation:
– react to impacts on the infrastructure due to extreme weather
conditions
Focused on the aims and their realisation we will:
• fulfil the public service provision in Westmecklenburg
• increase the attractiveness and quality of busses and trains
• adopt alternative and more flexible forms of public transportation
Methods used:
• draw up the Regional Spatial Structure Plan
• tender for the Regional Public Transportation Plan
• form a network in the region (all involved stakeholders)
• raise awareness about the impact of climate change through
information seminars
