History 1700 _____________walking!
Sometimes it’s crazy what American’s do not know about our own history. Jay Leno took it upon himself to see just what
people actually know, and it is shocking. Do you know when the Declaration of Independence was signed? Do you know
who wrote the Star Spangled Banner? Now it is your turn to see what people know. In groups of 3-4 students, you are
going to create your own Jaywalking video.
Directions
1. Select 10 questions from the ones on the back of this paper. Make sure you know the answers to them.
2. Interview 5 friends and 3 adults to see what they know. Ask each of them 4-5 questions off of your list. Make sure you
switch up which questions you ask each person.
3. Film your interviews in the style of Jaywalking
4. Edit your film together into a 2-3 minute clip.
5. Upload your clip to YouTube, bring in on a USB drive or CD. Make sure that the video is compatible to be played on
VLC player.
