ABSTRACT
The main objective of this project is to unlock a main door of a house/garage
door/bank strong room door by an android application using a password entered through
the android application device. Opening and closing of garage door involves human labor.
In this proposed system, the opening and closing of a door is achieved by using an android
application.
The owner can connect android application device to the system through Bluetooth,
which in turn is connected to a controller controlled door that can open/close the door by
entering the password. This method is very convenient as one doesn’t have to get down of
his car to open/close the door physically in case of garage.
Remote operation is achieved by any smart-phone/Tablet etc., with Android OS,
upon a GUI (Graphical User Interface) based touch screen operation. This project is based
on the android application, android application send data through Bluetooth. Another
Bluetooth device connected at the receiving end which is fed to the controller. The sent
data (password entered by the user) matches with the password stored in the controller,
then the controller initiates a mechanism to open the door through a motor driver interface.
Further this project can be incorporated with an EEPROM i.e., a non-volatile
memory so that the password can be changed by the owner. By this application we can not
only reduce human effort but also security is provided. A stranger cannot enter inside by
manually opening the door. Only an authorized person with right password can get inside.
What ever the result may be that will be displayed on the lcd i.e if one gives a
correct password then it displays authorized person if not it gives wrong password.

The Bluetooth module is used here. Bluetooth is wireless technology standard for
exchanging data over short distances (using short-wavelength radiowaves in the ISM band
from 2.4 to 2.485 GHz) from fixed and mobile devices, building personal area
networks (PANs)
This project uses regulated 5V, 750mA power supply. 7805 three terminal voltage
regulator is used for voltage regulation. Bridge type full wave rectifier is used to rectify the
ac out put of secondary of 230/12V step down transformer.
This project uses 89S52 microcontroller 16X2 LCD display is provided to monitor that to
which field the water is actually being given at that time. A simple yet powerful program is
written in embedded c language and burned into the microcontroller to fulfill this task
automatically.
