Mrs. Gillam’s Geometry Scrapbook Project To bring together the unit of Geometry, you will be making a Geometry scrapbook based around your interest. This scrapbook will consist of geometry vocabulary terms you have been working with and a theme you have picked. This project is meant to give you an opportunity to explore the important role these terms play in the real world. Your scrapbook will have a title page, table of contents, and 20 geometric terms. *Extra credit if this is done with technology. Don’t forget to answer the reflection questions on the rubric before turning this in. Your scrapbook will include the following: WHAT: INCLUDES: o Artistic, geometric design Title Page o o o o o o o o o Table of Contents Seven pages of terms below: o o o Thirteen pages of definitions Name of your scrapbook Your name and number Mrs. Gillam Page numbers Title of each page. Geometric Term A good picture of each geometric term in a real world setting The definition of the geometric term And you must answer the question or questions specified below for each page with at least two sentences. Geometric term A good picture of each geometric term in a real world setting The definition of the geometric term Seven pages of terms: Page 1 – Parallel Lines o What problems would there be in your picture if the lines were not parallel? Page 2 – Two Congruent Objects o What problems would there be in your picture if the objects were not congruent? Page 3 – Zero Angles o Why do you think the zero angle was created? Page 4 - Perpendicular Lines o What consequence may occur if the lines were not perpendicular? Page 5 – Intersecting Lines o Why is it important that these lines intersect? Page 6 – Right Angles o State what problems there would be if these angles were not right angles? Page 7 –Acute angles o Why are acute angles needed where they are in your picture?
