Jelf appointments spearhead expansion in South Wales
Jelf Insurance Brokers has appointed a new account executive and two account handlers at
its Swansea offices.
The appointments are part of the company’s strategy of major expansion in South Wales.
Michelle Villis, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the insurance sector in South
Wales, has been appointed as Account Executive.
She has been joined by Karen Gair and Dean Barker as Commercial Account Handlers.
Karen, from Pontypridd, has worked in the insurance industry in South Wales since 1990
and Dean, who comes from Port Talbot and is a graduate of Cardiff University, has worked
in the industry in both South Wales and South-West England.
Michelle said: “I’ve worked extensively in the area but when I was approached by Jelf it was
an opportunity I had to take. They combine all the advantages of being a local broker with
having a big brand which gives us access to the very best possible deals.
“They are also very ambitious with plans for major growth in South Wales and it’s great to be
working in that kind of environment.”
Earlier this year, Jelf appointed Julian Hilton as Area Director to lead the expansion in South
Wales. He said: “Jelf has had a significant presence in South Wales for a long time but it’s
an area that we’ve now targeted for major expansion and these appointments are the start of
that.
