SECTION 5. Facility Operations
On the morning of April 6, 2005, a total of 718 mortalities were found in the distribution flume and tertiary
dryer upstream of the John Day smolt monitoring sample tank. The cause of the mortalities was due to the fact
that the inflow slide gate was left in the closed position from approximately 1400 hours through 0600 hours the
next morning.
SECTION 6. Research
A total of 100 juvenile Pacific lamprey were held for USFWS Abernathy Fish Health Lab this week.
