Announces Drilling Results and Additional Ground Work to come for the South Baird Program in Red Lake, Ontario April 12, 2006: Solitaire Minerals Corp. (TSX-V symbol: SLT) (the "Company") and United Bolero Development Corp.(TSX-V symbol: UNB) are pleased to announce the completion of a 1093 meter (10 hole) diamond drill hole program on the South Baird Property in the Red Lake greenstone belt. Part of the program tested the western projection of the New Faulkenham Shaft structure. This 8 hole north to south trending fence of holes evaluated the potential of the offset of the structure interpreted in the geophysics. The result was the intersection of a similar geological setting to the New Faulkenham Shaft structure almost directly west. Diamond drill hole SB-06-03 intersected 0.302 g/t gold over 6 meters from 43.00 to 49.00 meters in a sheared granodiorite, and 0.455 g/t gold over 2.5 meters from 80.50 to 83.00 meters in an altered and sheared mafic volcanic. These results and their locations suggest that the New Faulkenham structure is not offset, or is not offset significantly. An additional two holes explored the extension of an electromagnetic anomaly. Selco Mining, in 1976, completed two diamond drill holes on this target. Hole 220-1-1 intersected a sulfide zone that assayed 0.984% Cu over 10.5 feet including 2.08% copper, 0.075 oz gold per ton, 0.09 oz silver per ton, and 0.01% zinc over 3.5 feet. Hole 220-2-2, drilled below 220-1-1, was reported to intersect similar mineralization, but since the values indicated were “not of economic character” no further work was completed (Ministry of Northern Development and Mines, Assessement Files). Diamond drill holes SB06-09 + SB-06-10 were drilled 50 and 100 meters, respectively, east of the Selco holes. The holes successfully intersected pyrrhotite, pyrite and chalcopyrite mineralization in biotitic mafic volcanics, which is similar to the mineralization intersected by Selco. The best intersection was from hole SB-0609, which returned assays of 0.263 g/t Au and 0.313% Cu over 10.32 m from 36.00-46.32 meters, including 1.429 g/t Au and 1.36% Cu over 1.52m in a feldspar porphyry dyke from 44.80 – 46.32 meters. The best intersection in hole SB-06-10 was 0.292 g/t Au and 0.375% Cu from 78.70 – 80.20 meters. Additional exploration comprised of prospecting and sampling will commence in the near future on the South Baird Property on the recommendation of Mr. Gary Clark. Recent logging has improved access and outcrop exposure. The principal targets are the New Faulkenham Shaft structure to the west, the areas around the Selco intercepts and other reported veins on the property. Mr. Garry Clark, P.Geo, is the Qualified Person on the south Baird property. Riou Lake Update Condor Consulting Ltd., recognized experts in the field of airborne electromagnetics have indicated that their analysis is expected to be completed within 10 days. Condor Consulting Ltd. have been retained to perform a detailed interpretation of results and final conclusions regarding the significance of the survey. J.S.Kermeen, M.Sc.,P.Eng. is the qualified person for the Riou Lake properties. Chukuni Update The Company expects to begin its drill program next week on the Chukuni property. Mr. Garry Clark, P.Geo, is the Qualified Person on the Chukuni property. About Solitaire Minerals Corp.
