CORE CURRICULUM IN BUDDHIST STUDIES AND PRACTICE The teachers at IPV are pleased to offer a core curriculum in Buddhist studies, consisting of six classes offered over a two year time span. These classes offer foundational Buddhist understandings and practices that any student of Buddhism should know. Upon completion, students can expect to have a firm grounding in Buddhist philosophy and meditation practice. The classes will be marked as a core curriculum class on fliers and the website. After finishing the curriculum, students can receive a certificate of completion. The six classes are: *Three parts of path for lay people *Four Foundations of Mindfulness *4 Noble Truths *Brahmaviharas: Divine Abodes *Three Characteristics of Reality *The Ten Spiritual Qualities (Paramis) Please join us this winter/spring 2014 with Rebecca’s class, The Four Noble Truths, and Candace’s class on the Ten Spiritual Qualities.
