21st Century Learning
Critical Thinking: Students will listen to a recording of three different choirs and individually articulate in writing and in words how the choirs were
different and similar.
Communication/Leadership: Students will take turns leading the class in the warm up exercises.
Communication: Students will write program notes for the concerts accurately describing the history and meaning of the concert repertoire.
Creativity/Initiative/Self Direction: Students will create practice goals for one of the pieces of concert repertoire. They will be resposonsible for
sharing in an organized way how they will accomplish their goals.
Interdisciplinary Themes: Students will have an understanding of global awareness by studying the varied repertoire of choral music. Students will
also understand civic literacy in how it relates to the rules and regulations surrounding music creation, production, and distribution.
