The MNACVPR Spring Program Planning
Committee is pleased to present the 8th Annual
Spring Conference. The topics are timely and focus
on unique and cutting-edge aspects of delivering
quality care to cardiac and pulmonary patients.

Objectives
At the completion of this program, the
participant will be able to:
 Identify the mechanisms and potential risks
of atrial fibrillation
 Identify management options for atrial
fibrillation
 Identify and understand different types of
sleep apnea
 Recognize different treatments for cardiac
and pulmonary patients with sleep apnea
 List primary and secondary symptoms of
Parkinson’s disease
 Discuss potential implications of a
Parkinson’s diagnosis when designing an
appropriate exercise/activity plan
 Identify appropriate visual, auditory and
environmental cues helpful to people with
Parkinson’s
 Discuss the current issues for regional
cardiac and pulmonary rehab programs





Educational Information
This program has been designed to meet the criteria
of the American Association of Cardiovascular and
Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). Verification
of attendance will be given at the conclusion of the
day. Participants are encouraged to submit this
conference content to their licensing/certification
board for contact hours.

Hospital is located between Hwy 100 and Hwy 169,
just north of Excelsior Blvd. For further instructions
please go to www.mapquest.com.
Parking options: You can park in the Blue Ramp
(just off Excelsior Blvd) for reduced parking price of
$3. Blue Ramp is connected to the Park Nicollet
Heart and Vascular Center. You can also park for
free at one of the offsite parking lots (Red or Gray)
and walk or take the shuttle to the hospital. Red Lot
is on west side and Gray Lot is on the east side of
Louisiana Ave, one block north of the hospital.
Auditorium is on the Ground Floor of the HVC at
the south end of the campus.
