MYCORTEX BIO-INOCULANT
MYCORTEX is a granular biological inoculant containing a synergistic blend of fungal and bacterial species
together with biostimulants. It is incorporated into the soil at the time of planting to generate a beneficial
microclimate in the root zone.
A robust root system stimulated by Biohumate, reinforced by fungal VA mycorrhzae (VAM) and sustained
by selected micro organisms (Bactolife) leads to a more effective use of available nutrients, a stronger more
disease resistant plant and an improvement in crop yield and quality. The beneficial soil bio-population also
disfavours undesirable microbes and fungi.
* Promotes root growth
* Provides a beneficial micro-population
* Improves nutrient availability and uptake
* Reduces the potential for pathogens and other undesirable organisms
* Promotes nitrogen fixers
* Increases disease and stress tolerance
* Requires reduced inputs of chemicals
Mycorrhiza
The VA mycorrhizae incorporated into MYCORTEX exist in an intimate relationship with the plant's roots.
The relationship is symbiotic (naturally beneficial) with the mycorrhizal hyphae effectively extending the root
mass and therefore the plant's ability to obtain water and nutrients from the surrounding soil. VAM in turn
derive sugars from their associated plants.
Microorganisms
The spread of microorganisms in MYCORTEX is derived from Biotechnica's unique Bactolife culture which
contains over 20 strains of beneficial bacteria in proper ratio to populate the soil and re-establish bio-activity.
The blend includes Bacillus strains, Rhizobia, Azotobacteria (nitrogen fixers), Sacchoromyces and other
natural strains. All contribute to the health of the soil and crop. There are no pathogens.
Biostimulant
To balance and promote activity in the soil MYCORTEX also contains the active components of
Biotechnica's BioHumate, which has been used to great effect to promote biological activity, particularly in
soils low in organic content where it offers stimulation to root development as well as to the soil micropopulation.
Application
MYCORTEX must be incorporated in the soil and should be applied at planting via a suitable unit such as a
Horstine applicator. 10 Kgs/hectare band applied is recommended. This gives an inoculation of VAM,
bacteria and biostimulant. Two further applications of BioHumate at 3L/ha should be made post emergence
with micronutrients in the second application.
Caution
This is a non-hazardous granular product on an inert carrier but there is a possibility of allergy reaction in sensitive individuals so it is
not advisable to inhale any dust and to wash thoroughly after handling.
