WHICH STYLE DO I USE?
• This is a great website for determining citation style according to specific
academic content areas when writing:
http://subjectguides.library.american.edu/c.php?g=175008&p=1154150
(American University, Washington, D.C.)
How to get started:
• Select a short reading selection for your class.
• Identify the citation style you prefer to use or is appropriate to use.
• Have the students practice citing the source using an in-text citation and a
parenthetical citation according to the selected citation style
(use OWL Purdue website).
• Have the students generate an entry for a Works Cited, References, or
Bibliography page depending on the style you use. APA = References
Student Honor Code Statement
