Instructions
Applications for the 2016 Democratic Alliance Young Leaders Programme open on Monday, 7
September and will close at 17h00 on Wednesday, 30 September 2015. No late applications will
be considered.
The following will need to be submitted by this deadline as your application package:
1. The Completed Application Form (which will be available from 7 September 2015);
2. One (1) Letter of Recommendation from someone who knows you well enough in order to support
your application for the Programme.
Please take careful note of the following important details:
 The person who writes your letter of recommendation should provide his/her name,
occupation, contact information, and how he/she knows you.

S/he
should
support
your
application by highlighting your leadership capabilities with example(s) s/he has observed.
 This letter must not be more than 1 page in length, and preferably less than 400 words.
 Please note that letters of recommendation from family members will not be considered.
 Letters of reference need to have been written in the past 3 months.
All documents must be clearly marked with the name and surname of the applicant and should
be submitted to [email protected] or to the fax number 086 2932196. Printed application
packages can also be posted or hand delivered to the DA National Head Office, 2 nd Floor Theba
Hosken House, 16 Mill Street, Gardens, Cape Town, 8001.
