It is also a non-polluting source of energy and it does not emit any greenhouse gases when producing electricity. Compare those characteristics to those of coal, oil, gas, or nuclear power, and the choice is easy. Solar energy technologies offer a clean, renewable and domestic energy source. Photovoltaic power even has advantages over wind power, hydropower, and solar thermal power. A solar panel is connected to the battery to charge in day time. AT89S52 micro controller is the heart of the circuit as it controls all the functions. A voltage sampler is interfaced with the system using ADC 0808 to get the DC voltage generated from solar panel stored in battery and also to display on a 16X2 LCD. An IoT module is also interfaced to the controller to monitor the voltage from the battery and also from the solar panel using internet. A 12 V DC lead acid rechargeable battery is used for storing the energy.
