To Honor Kosair Charities in a Fundraising Event
CMKI Hands-On Award Dinner to Honor Kosair Charities
Louisville, KY (April, 2, 2015) – The Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and
Microsurgery (CMKI) will honor Kosair Charities at the 2nd CMKI Hands-On Award Dinner.
The event will take place Thursday, April 2, 2015 starting at 6 p.m. at the Galt House Hotel &
Suites, Archibald Cochran Room, located at 140 N. Fourth Street, Louisville, Kentucky.
“We are very pleased to honor Kosair Charities for their mission to protect the health and
well-being of children in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. There has been a long standing
collaboration between the Institute and Kosair Charities, and they have done so much to help
us achieve our mission of excellence in education and research in the field of hand surgery”
says Dr. Christina Kaufman, Executive Director of CMKI. “In addition our surgeons wanted
to express their gratitude to Kosair Charities for their unparalleled community service. Over
the years, many financially struggling families have had their children’s hand problems
corrected because of support through the Kleinert Kutz practice and Kosair Charities.”
Dr. Kleinert and Dr. Kutz received the coveted Roger Fox award for their work with children
from Kosair Charities in 2005. In 2012 and 2013, Kosair Charities generously awarded CMKI
a combined total of over $600,000 in direct and matching grants to perform research and
educate the hand surgeons of the future
