Practice Set of Required Math Skills for
Algebra 1
Students should practice each of the following skills to prepare for your next math
class. The math packet will be check on the first day of class and collect on the
first Friday. A graded assessment about these skills will be given and will count
as your first math grade the school year.
Skill 1:
All students should be able to complete 30 single digit multiplication and division
problems within one minute.
Use flash cards to practice.
Skill 2:
All students should be able to complete 30 single digit addition and subtraction
problems within one minute.
Use flash cards to practice.
Skill 3:
All students should be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide integers and decimal
