Abstract
The scientists of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (ipcc, 2001) analyzed the possible consequences that can bring
climate change in different Earth´s geographic spaces. In Mexico, the climate change begins to be notorious; therefore made this
investigation in the Metropolitan Area of Toluca City (zmct) to study the behavior of the temperature and precipitation between the
1960-2007 to demonstrate climate variations. The theoretical support that sustains this research was environmental geography and
the methodology was based on statistics, fieldwork and automatized cartography. It is possible to conclude that the climate in the
zmct and its hinterland are changing, according to the information and reports of the nasa and the ipcc.
