operates on a four year cycle, each course independent of the preceding
one in regard to prerequisites, i.e., a student may enter the cycle at any
point in his/her 4 year career. The cycle includes courses in the following
areas and was approved by the College of Arts and Sciences in the Spring
1990.

This program lasted six weeks and included tours of most major

included topics for discussion given by scholars of costume history
who are known internationally. An opportunity for intensive study,
the program also included trips to Scotland and Ireland, and
resulted in a revamping of the curriculum in my costume history
class, as well as, adding greatly to the design and construction
classes.

groups from all over the State of Vermont. The proceeds from
renting costumes are used to purchase needed equipment for the

the schools and theatre groups which take advantage of the
service. It is not to imply a costume rental service, but includes a
great deal of technical and design recommendations.
