MULTIPLICATION AND DIVISION OF SIGNED NUMBERS
1. If the signs are the same, the answer is POSITIVE.
2. If the signs are different, the answer is NEGATIVE.
When a fraction is negative, the minus sign can go with the numerator, the denominator,
or out in front of the fraction.

When multiplying an EVEN amount of negative numbers, the answer will be POSITIVE.
When multiplying an ODD amount of negative numbers, the answer will be NEGATIVE.

The base is three and the exponent is four.
The exponent four tells how many times to take the base three times itself.

The exponent two tells how many times to take the base seven times itself.

to the exponent. This means the answer will be negative.
When the base is negative and the exponent is even, the answer is positive.
When the base is negative and the exponent is odd, the answer is negative.
