All their sourcing and manufacturing processes aim for the highest quality standards, leveraging on Danone International’s experience in Quality and Food Safety. Application: Moisture, Protein and Fat Analysis in Infant Formula Infant formulas are formulated to be used as part of a balanced diet to promote healthy physical growth and developmental milestones. The nutrient content of infant formula is regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and Food safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI). In the production line, it is imperative to quantify these nutritional components to ensure that the formulations meet the regulated specifications. Here, a rapid and comprehensive technique such as NIR is a powerful tool for quantitative analysis. Equipment: NIRMaster™ BUCHI NIRMaster™ is a dedicated standalone spectrometer with unmatched accuracy of Fourier Transform technology. It is built with a hygienic easy-clean design and a robust dust and waterproof housing (IP54 or IP65). Benefit / Conclusion: A powerful analytical tool for multicompositional analysis “The BUCHI NIRMaster is fully functional in the production at our Nutricia plant in Lalru. We thank the BUCHI team for their extended support regarding calibration model development. We have been able to achieve precise and accurate results along with analytical cost savings.” Mr. Dalbir Singh, Executive Quality Assurance FB-179-12/15 In Nutricia, hundreds of samples have to be analyzed on a daily basis, therefore after implementing the use of NIR technology the costs associated to conventional laboratory analyses have drop markedly.
