expertise in numerous facets
of mobile/wireless communications
including embedded communication
systems design, mobile network topology development, and advanced
mobile communication technologies
research. A core capability for mobile
communications at SwRI is developing
network infrastructures and embedded end devices for intelligent transportation systems (ITS), government
agencies, and commercial partners.

BIMS provides a bus dispatcher with the ability to
locate a distress call, remotely view the incident, direct
appropriate assistance to the scene, and accelerate
response time.
TECHNOLOGIES
This computer system and enclosure are
used in the Bus Incident Monitoring System
(BIMS) developed by SwRI to help provide
better response during incidents.
SwRI engineers develop and integrate
