Participants Needed for a
Research Study on Skin Aging
in Ethnic Skin!
Why Should I Join This Study?
Little is known about mechanisms of photoaging and chronologic aging in African-Americans and other
black populations. Your participation will help dermatologists understand aging in skin of color, which
will help us develop ways of preventing and treating skin aging in this population.
Participation Involves:
Close-up photographs of affected skin
Two very small biopsies of your skin in a small percentage of participants
Time Needed for Study:

1 Visit: 30 minutes for photography and two biopsies in small percentage of participants
2nd Visit (if needed): 10 minutes for removal of small sutures
Will I Be Paid to Join This Study?
Yes. $20 per biopsy, $40 total.
