Downloading Survey Monkey Results
to a Relational Database

1. Click My Surveys
2. Click the Analyze icon next to the survey
for which you want to download results

3. Click Download Responses

4. Select All Responses Collected
5. Select Relational Database Format
6. Enter your email address
7. Click Request Download

8. Wait for the data to
download
Note: You can click the
Refresh icon on your
browser’s tool bar to see if
the download has
completed.

9. Click Download

10. Click Save
After you save the .zip file to your desktop, you can open the file
later, in the formats provided in the .zip file, to view it. Note, since
the data is provided as a relational database view, knowledge of
SQL is needed to interpret the results, especially the non-text
responses; however, a responses key is provided in the Responses
Table.

11. Save the file to your desktop using the
following naming structure:
first initial underscore last name
underscore survey name.zip
12. Click Save

13. Click Close
14. Return to the ERMIS survey
launch page and complete step 4
of the four-step process.
