 Very Large APNIC membership is growing
 Smallest has /12 in aggregate IP space
 Largest has /7 aggregate
 Range is 5 prefix bits, or factor of 32
 Normal range per category is 3 bits
 Propose new “Very Large” category
 For members with more than /10

Very Small Members
 No appropriate level for organisations with
small blocks
Early allocations by APNIC (previous /22 policy)
IXPs (new policy approved)
Small multi-homed orgs who wish to join (new
policy approved)
Membership option for legacy assignments from
IANA (any size)
 Propose new “Very Small Category”
 For members with up to /22

 No option for organisations which do not
need services directly from APNIC
