7W is a 32-bed unit comprised of adult patients who have had, or are undergoing a
bone marrow/stem cell transplant and patients admitted to the MHP service. MHP
service patients are comprised of hematology /Leukemia/ Multiple Myeloma
patients who are typically admitted for chemotherapy regimens or for complications
of their dx/treatment. The delivery of care is based on a collaborative approach
among nursing, medicine and other services. Our highly specialized team promotes
optimal care based on high professional standards.
Multidisciplinary Rounds is a process recently introduced on 7W which involves
Nursing, Medicine, and other services, meeting together collaboratively to evaluate
patients' needs and treatment plans. Care is outcome directed, based on goals
determined by the patient, family, and healthcare team, and is delivered with an
emphasis on efficiency and excellence.
