History
• The Pork Quality Assurance (PQA) Program
was developed with check-off money to assure
all pork producers have the information they
need to do their part in delivering a safe and
wholesome product to consumers.
• Introduced in 1989, PQA is a voluntary, food
safety educational program for all pork
producers
