MAP OF HAWAII Hawaii is one of the 50 states of the United States. The capital state of Hawaii is Honolulu, on the island of Oahu. PEARL HARBOUR Pearl Harbour is on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, west of Honolulu. The attack on Pearl Harbour by Japan on December 7, 1941, brought the United States into World War II. HANALEI BAY BEACH, KAUAI Lovely Hanalei Bay on Kauai’s North Shore may be the most beautiful beach setting in all of Hawaii. LANIKAI BEACH, OAHU The best swimming beach in Hawaii, Lanikai’s clear waters, wide beach and swaying coconut palms. HONOLULU’S FIRST RAIL The railways in Honolulu are electric street railways. They were used in Honolulu prior to World War II. A good attraction to see is Kualoa, which is a ranch where there are wild cattle.
