(plasma), and platelets
• What do RBC’s do?
• Carries Oxygen (O2) from lungs to the body,
and carries CO2 from body to lungs

• Help fight infections

• Your blood is carried by 3 types of blood
vessels
• Veins – carry blood to heart
• Arteries – carry blood away from heart
• Capillaries – connect veins and arteries, this is
where materials are exchanged

• The heart pumps blood, Oxygen, and other
things like nutrients to the body via the
arteries- AWAY
• Materials are exchanged at the capillaries
• Veins bring the blood back
• The circulatory system also goes through the
liver and kidneys. These filter out unwanted
materials and in the case of the kidney bring it
to the bladder.
