• Majority of SD relevant topics focus on Management, Social
Sciences, Mathematical Methods, Operations Research &
Management Science, and Environmental Sciences.
• Emerging topics include Mechanical Engineering, Civil
Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy & Fuels, Biology,
Transportation Science & Technology, Marine & Freshwater
Biology, and Computer Science, Cybernetics.
• Majority of SD articles originate in western society, 39% from
the USA and 10% from the UK.
• There is publication representation from around the world, but
plenty of room for others to assume a larger authorship role.
• SD publishers of choice are a familiar few such as the System
Dynamics Review, Journal of the Operational Research Society,
and European Journal of Operations Research.
• There is a publisher for almost any topic of interest, e.g., Annals
of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology to Zoo Biology.
